The building will comprise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a multimedia reading room,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an exhibition area and an area for educational activities,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a digitisation lab,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a conservation lab.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety and ease of use<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project will make it possible to<strong> improve the conditions for storing and sharing archival materials. <\/strong>With all holdings gathered under one roof in a very good, well-connected location, the archive will better serve the residents and institutions of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a and the surrounding region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the new building, it will be possible to appropriately arrange, secure, process, inventory, share and popularise the holdings. These tasks will be carried out in accordance with modern standards. They will take into account the arrangement of records from different historical periods and types of offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technologies and equipment that will reduce maintenance and operating costs will be used in the building. <strong>The new building will be fully accessible to people with special needs.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the end of 2024, the State Archives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>acquired a plot for the project,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prepared a plan for the demolition of vacant buildings,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>obtained demolition permits,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>carried out demolition work applying the \u201cdesign and demolish\u201d approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, investment preparations continued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On October 28, the architectural competition was concluded, with Heinle, Wischer und Partner Architekci Sp. z o.o., based in Wroc\u0142aw, winning the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On December 30, a contract was signed with the selected contractor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State Archives in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a will move to a new building at Jana Henryka D\u0105browskiego 19.
