The world list currently includes more than 500 items from several hundred countries. With 18 unique items of documentary heritage, Poland is among the five countries in the world with the largest number of entries – alongside Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Korea. The State Archives preserve 8 of the 18 Polish documents placed on the world list of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme.
