State Archives in Zielona Góra

For 60 years, the State Archives in Zielona Góra was located outside the city. It was not until 2009 that a new building was approved for construction. The new building was opened in 2013, and has a total floor area of 2100 m2.

It is a modern facility which offers optimal conditions for storing and sharing historical documents. In addition to storage rooms for long-term record keeping, the archive also has its own digitization and conservation workshop, in addition to an exhibition and conference room. The reading room offers computers with access to the databases and the digitized portion of the holdings, as well as self-service scanners. The archive has its own ICT infrastructure for storing electronic documentation and sharing it online.
