The State Archives have been participating in UNESCO’s Memory of the World programme for 30 years now. The aim of the programme is to preserve and make accessible documentary heritage and to spread knowledge about it.
As part of the Memory of the World, 3 lists are kept with the most valuable documentary heritage:
- the world list,
- regional lists,
- national lists – including the Polish list: Memory of Poland.
