The opening ceremony for the new State Archives in Rzeszów took place on 15 November 2016.
The building, located on Władysława III Warneńczyka Street, is made up of two parts – the office part and the storage part, whose total floor space is nearly 5000 m2. It features storage areas with a total capacity of 30 kilometers of records, digitization and conservation rooms, a reading room with computers and self-service scanners, as well as a conference and exhibition room. This modern and functional building also has its own server rooms and a system for monitoring the temperature and humidity in the storage rooms.
The total cost of the project including equipment was 23.5 million zlotys.
